Dr. Susan Lance
Dr. Lance grew up in rural northwest Ohio and received her bachelor’s degree in state at Miami University. She earned her doctorate of dental surgery degree with honors from The Ohio State University in 1993. Dr. Lance then completed a one year residency at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She continued to live and practice in North Carolina for the next twenty years. She and her family moved to Columbia, Missouri in 2015. Dr. Lance has been with Mid-Missouri Dental Center over 4 years, and enjoys seeing the familiar faces of her young patients as well as their parents. When not practicing dentistry, she and her husband enjoy traveling to visit their three grown children. She also enjoys cooking and gardening, as well as walks with their three dogs.
Dr. Charlotte Stueve
Dr. Charlotte Stueve graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2016 and then the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2020. She married her husband in 2020 and in 2021 they moved to Columbia where she began to work at Mid Missouri Dental Center. She has 2 kids, a 2-year-old son and a newborn daughter. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities with her family.
Kristiane Naegler, DMD
Clinical Director
Dr. Kristiane Naegler is a highly experienced dental professional with a distinguished career dedicated to clinical excellence, education, and community service. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine (SIUE SDM) in 1994. Following graduation, she completed a two-year hospital-based Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at SIUE SDM in 1996, with a focus on pediatric dentistry, implant restorations, and care for underserved populations.
Dr. Naegler began her academic journey at the University of Missouri-Columbia (1987–1990) before attending dental school. She has held academic appointments at SIUE SDM, serving as an Associate Professor in the Pediatric Dentistry Department from 2007 to 2011, and as an Adjunct Professor from 2011 to 2019. She has also contributed to the profession as a Board Examiner for the CDCA/WREB since 2020.
Her private practice career spans over two decades, including ownership roles at Accent Dental in St. Louis and Wentzville, as well as Mid Missouri Dental Center. She led these clinics from 2008 to 2022 and provided clinical care from 1996 to 2022. During her clinical practice, Dr. Naegler completed over 7,000 general anesthesia cases on children between the ages of 2 and 10, demonstrating a deep commitment to pediatric dental care in medically complex and high-need populations.
After selling the clinics, Dr. Naegler was hired back as the Acting Clinical Director in May 2025, overseeing operations and clinical standards at Mid Missouri Dental Center, Accent Dental of St. Louis, and Accent Dental of Wentzville.
Dr. Naegler was also affiliated with the University of Missouri Health Care – University Hospital as part of the Cleft Palate Team from 2009 to 2014.
A committed community advocate, Dr. Naegler has been a clinical provider for Head Start/Youth In Need since 1996 and has participated in annual programs such as Give Kids a Smile and the Mission of Mercy clinics in Missouri and Illinois.
She has served on several advisory boards, including DentaQuest’s Dental Advisory Board (2014–2017), the St. Louis Community College Dental Hygiene and Assisting Program (2017–2022), and Youth In Need’s Health Services Advisory Board (2018–2022). She has also played an active role on the SIUE School of Dental Medicine Alumni Board since 2017, serving as President from 2022 to 2023.
Dr. Naegler has been a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Greater St. Louis Dental Society, Missouri Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Madison County Dental Society, and Colorado Dental Society.
